American Legion Post 84 was chartered in August, 1941, just a few months prior to the attack on Pearl Harbor. It counts among its past and present members women and men who have served in all branches of the armed forces during wartime, both abroad and stateside and in combat and/or support roles. 

Men and women from all walks of life, leaders in the community, thier workplaces, and their homes have found rewarding service "for God and country" through Westhampton Post 84.   

Regular monthly meetings are held on the third Saturday of the month at 10:00am. The location is the Sims Center at Lakewood, 1900 Lauderdale Drive, the intersection of Lauderdale and John Rolfe Parkway in western Henrico County, Virginia
